Luke Shaw is set to return for Manchester United on Boxing Day after recovering from the ankle injury that has kept him out for a month.
Shaw suffered the injury in United’s 2-1 win at Arsenal on November 22, but is back in training and could start against Newcastle.
The left-back strained ligaments at the Emirates Stadium – the latest in a line of problems since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer.
