Liverpool’s ‘black gold’ wins Tuttosport’s young player of 2014 award

The reputation of Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling has been ratcheted up another notch on Saturday.
Showing the worldwide appreciation Sterling has, the 20-year-old Anfield star makes the front page of Italian paper Tuttosport having won the paper’s readers vote for the young player of 2014.
FIghting off competition from the likes of Inter’s Mateo Kovacic, Man United’s Adnan Januzaj, PSG’s Marquinhos and Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi (to name but a few), Sterling won the popular vote for young player of the year.
Ajax’s Arkadiusz Milik was the runner up.

Tuttosport’s Saturday edition has Sterling on the splash holding his newest trophy. The headline calls the England international “Black Gold”.
