Arsene Wenger hopeful on duo return for Liverpool clash

Arsene Wenger has refused to rule Theo Walcott and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain out of Arsenal’s Premier League trip to Liverpool on Sunday.
Winger Walcott returned from a serious knee injury earlier this season, but has since been troubled by a groin complaint.
The versatile Oxlade-Chamberlain has been contending with a similar issue after limping off late in Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle United last weekend.
However, manager Wenger is hopeful that both men will be fit to face Brendan Rodgers’ men at Anfield.
“[There is] a very slight chance for Walcott. We hope that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fit,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
“He [Walcott] is back in training today [Thursday]. I might take him, I don’t know yet until he’s back to full training. Let’s see.
On Oxlade-Chamberlain, Wenger added: “We’ll see on Saturday after a test. He’s not in training at the moment.”
The Frenchman is also hopeful of welcoming back defender Nacho Monreal, while goalkeeper David Ospina and midfielder Tomas Rosicky are back in training after injury lay-offs.
