Manchester United are preparing to splash the cash once the January transfer window opens.
The Red Devils are confident of completing three deals in the window that will amount to a staggering £80m.
Benfica pair Enzo Perez and Nicolas Gaitan are said to be close to agreeing moves while Roma’s Kevin Strootman is their No.1 target.
Reports emerged from Portugal yesterday suggesting Louis van Gaal was confident of sealing the Benfica pair for a combined fee of around £51m.
The Red Devils continue to scout the pair with a view to a January transfer and one man Van Gaal knows all about is the £30m-rated Strootman.
